La prima edizione di Live Cinema Festival si svolge dal 17 al 20 Settembre a Roma negli spazi del Teatro Quarticciolo.

Live Cinema Festival è una rassegna di cinema dal vivo che indaga e promuove tutti i fenomeni artistici cui si attribuisce il termine Live Cinema, attraverso le esibizioni di artisti provenienti da Italia, Germania, Inghilterra, Olanda, Polonia e Bielorussia, che hanno fatto di questa tecnica narrativa la loro cifra stilistica.

Per Live Cinema si intende una tecnica narrativa sperimentale applicata al video performativo, che dà vita alla creazione simultanea di suoni e di immagini in tempo reale, in cui i parametri tradizionali del cinema narrativo rappresentati dalla soggettività fotografata della camera, si espandono in una concezione più ampia. Cinema è inteso come l’atto di creare simultaneamente immagini e suoni che dialogano tra loro e che prendono forma in un approccio sinestetico che si traduce in performance audio-video realizzate in real-time, davanti alle quali la percezione dello spettatore è in continua tensione tra sperimentazione e rievocazione.

Le performance proposte durante questa prima edizione tendono a esplorare temi legati al sociale, ai nuovi media, ma anche a concetti più introspettivi, che emergono sullo schermo in una veste nuova, permeata di nuovi linguaggi e nuovi significati.

Live Cinema Festival ha lo scopo di valorizzare, attraverso l’esibizione di 8 artisti, una delle aree periferiche della città, che, grazie a un programma che unisce artisti emergenti e artisti già noti, ha la possibilità di divenire un nuovo centro di aggregazione culturale.

Live Cinema Festival è un progetto artistico-culturale, promosso da Flyercommunication in co-produzione con: LPM – LivePerformersMeeting, FLxER.net, LinuxClub, FreeHardwareFoundation ed Improvearts ed il patrocinio del network Avnode, inserito nella programmazione ESTATE ROMANA 2014, la manifestazione Live Cinema Festival è realizzata con il sostegno di Roma Capitale in collaborazione con Acea e Siae.

Live Cinema Festival is a live performing exhibition that explores and promotes all the artistic trends whom is attributed the term Live Cinema, with performances by artists from Italy, Germany, England, Holland, Poland and Belarus, which have made this narrative technique their stylistic code.

Live Cinema means an experimental narrative technique applied to performative video, which gives rise to the simultaneous creation of sound and images in real time, in which the traditional standards of narrative cinema represented by the subjectivity of the camera is expanded into a broader conception.

Cinema is understood as the act of simultaneously create images and sounds that interact with each other and take shape in a synaesthetic approach that results in audio-video performance realized in real-time, in which the viewer’s perception is in constant tension between experimentation and re-enactment.

The performances proposed in this first edition of Live Cinema Festival tend to explore issues related to social and new media, but also to more introspective concepts emerging on the screen in a new light, enriched by new languages and new meanings.

Live Cinema Festival, through the exhibition of 8 artists, aims to exploit one of the outlying areas of the city which, thanks to a program that combines emerging and known artists, could become a new center of cultural aggregation.

Live Cinema Festival is a cultural and artistic project, promoted by Flyercommunication in co-production with LPM-LivePerformersMeeting, FLxER.net, LinuxClub, FreeHardwareFoundation and Improvearts and approved by Avnode, inserted into the programme of ESTATE ROMANA 2014, the event Live Cinema Festival is organized with the support of Roma Capitale in partnership with Acea and Siae.
